EDITED: Planning to purchase OBDLink CX so I can use A Better Route Planner (ABRP) via CarPlay and get vehicle data

Yes, Android here. On the ABRP home screen, tap the ABRP icon in the top left, then tap the "Ford F-150 Lightning Extended Range (Alpha)" box under Plan Settings. Then tap "Edit settings."

When you get to this point, start thinking of swear words. When I started, I only had the "Other live data sources" option visible. It was pretty flaky. I think I may have even disconnected my phone from Android Auto at some point to see if it was interfering. Eventually you will hopefully get the option with the box that says "Link ABRP OBD Connection." It will then scan for your adapter and you can select it. It's pretty much smooth sailing from there.

Edit: this is all done on your phone BTW, not the Android Auto screen. There are almost no options on the AA screen.

Oh FFS. Thank you... that was SOOOOO intuitive.

Apparently I hadn't clicked 'save' and so I couldn't click 'edit settings'.

Here is the suggestion I got from OBDLink Support to access the Lightnings PIDs from within their app….:

Using these tips, I was able to sort through all of the ICE-related PIDs and identified what I think are the SAE EV-related PIDs. I’m now in the process of creating custom viewable dashboards within their app linked to these PIDs….and have no idea what I’m doing or what results I’ll see….

Someone smarter than me will probably make more sense of available PIDs, more here than I can list….
