I actually did both, but found it was easier to get to above the wheel.

The yellow wire in the photo certainly is the 12 volt supply to the headlights. It appears that the black is ground, as has been mentioned in YouTube videos. I have not yet found which wire controls the parking lights.

I just used the putco harness and modified it pretty simple to do.

Those eventually fail and when they do will cause a short. Also the time I saved trying to figure out which wire does what made it worth it for me.
Understood.

But you still have to modify the harness and add wire, so it doesn't save that much time.

With the modified harness does the emblem only come with the lightbar and headlights at dark or is it on all the time the truck is on?

Did anyone ever find a way to get the emblem to light up when walking up to the truck, like when the lightbar lights up with close proximity?

I have tried using forscan to make the headlights turn on with the Welcome lighting, which would accomplish this. So far I have not been able to get it to work.

The T harness is for an ICE F-150 that has been modified. While this will work, IMO, it makes the installation more difficult because now you have to extend the harness to the passenger side headlight instead of the fuse box.
Are there any videos or photos showing how to get in the headlight area, to attach the headlight t-connector splice?

None that I found. The easiest way I found was to turn the wheel all the way to the right for the passenger side, or all the way to the left for the driver side. Then disconnect the felt from below to get to it.

You can also get to it from above after the plastic trim pieces are taken off, but it's easier to visualize it from below. And much easier on the skin of your wrist.

Love your videos, you helped me a lot.

My hands aren't big. Going from above still sucks

Here's how we did it:

The STL file clip thingy is awesome! I noticed one was broken in my frunk after it was in the garage getting it's annual state inspection. 😬. I'll get a dozen printed for replacement and spares. Thanks again!
