My friend who goes to school in the city and lives in an downtown was walking back to her apartment when she saw a Lightning speed past her. She immediately identified it as a Lightning by its silent operation and the badge on the bedside. A police officer then stepped out and ran down the street to some altercation or crime call. It seems to be an undercover vehicle as there is no lightbar, there are no markings and only bumper, inner window and bedside mounted lights. It has a municipal plate, but it's in the standard PA plate patter of blue-white-yellow and not the all blue style of most standard municipal plates.
There doesn't appear to be any police equipment mounted inside, but it's hard to tell. This also doesn't seem to be the Lightning SSV, but rather a standard Pro that was converted. I'm so glad she snapped these pictures, because as far as I've seen, this is the first Lightning spotted being used in police duty!
Have any of you guys seen Police Lightnings?
