Hi all,

Did my first drive in excess of 100km (62 mi), with definitely lower range than expected.

For reference, the conditions are as such:

- Roughly 0 degrees C (32F) today
- 25-30km / hr wind (16-19 mi)
- trip was round trip from my house
- Charged overnight to 90%, then boosted to 93% when I realized I was doing this
- I have the extended range on my Platinum (of course)
- Almost all highway driving at 100 km / hr (62 mi / hr)
- There were 5 of us in the truck for most of the trip (2 adults, and then a 12, 10 and 7 year old)

Originally, the truck said I had over 400km range. It was pretty clear this was a fairly big over estimation.

Ended up driving 247.5 km (154 mi), with an estimated range of only 34km to go. I think it was down to roughly 10% (had it plugged in before I checked and it was at 11%).

The wind clearly had a pretty significant factor, as the kWh/100km went up a lot on the way home (which was back into the wind).

I suppose if I really need to do a long trip again I’ll need to do some research into optimal speeds, etc.
