I told them that Ford must have done an update that reduced the acceleration.
Here is the problem with your statement….we have to be getting OTA updates for them to do that.

Updates have basically crawled to a pace last seen by the amoeba crawling out of the ancestral ooze following the big bang.

I don't know what good it will do, but the article does have a link to "Report an Issue," which includes the option to report that it's AI-generated and has incorrect information.

I definitely noticed the difference in acceleration. I used to promote the Lightning to my friends as a very fast accelerating vehicle.... not any more. As a matter of fact, I started telling my friends weeks ago that Ford did a bait and switch on me. I told them that Ford must have done an update that reduced the acceleration. Ford just lost one more selling point for the Lightning and that's the last thing they need.

I'm ready to stop Ford from stealing prominent features we bought in good faith only to have them steal the features back in the middle of the night.

I'm ready to join the class action lawsuit. I encourage you to do the same in order to teach Ford a lesson. I want my Lightning back. I purposely didn't by a Prius.

I'm sure you are aware of this but you didn't mention it, so I'll ask. Were you driving in Normal or Sport when you noticed the difference?

If you search for the lawsuit it points you directly back to this discussion! We are providing for the AI fodder.
Exactly why I complained about the video posted the other day with a clickbait title.

I haven't figured out what Sport does other than make the pedal more touchy at the start and makes the steering heavier.
Putting my 2024 Flash in Sport is a noticeable upgrade in acceleration. Sometimes I will put it in Sport when needing to pass on a 2-lane road. When my wife is along, I usually put it back in Normal  Sort of tricky though. I have to take my eyes briefly off the road to make that change.

Ford, for its part, has framed the change as a safety and durability measure tied to the truck’s high-voltage battery system, not a stealth downgrade. Company statements cited in the lawsuit coverageemphasize that the update was designed to protect components under heavy load and extreme conditions, and that the truck still meets its advertised capabilities in most everyday driving.

If Ford degraded the performance of MY truck to protect THEIR warranty, I deserve compensation for that. I bought the truck with the “electrical components” being warranted for 8 years/100,000 miles. If I don’t drive the truck it should definitely last through the warranty period. If the downgrade is correct then Ford understands that using the truck to haul or tow will cause the truck to fail prematurely.

Don’t try to apply logic to AI-generated nonsense.

I love fucking with my wife. Putting it into sport mode and she does not even notice because face buried in phone. 🤣 then put it to the rug! She gets so pissed. Ahh it’s the little things about marriage. 😁😁
