Ford Pass Rewards VISA - anyone have this or going to apply because of the Lightning EV ?

Got a mailer for a Ford Pass Rewards VISA card from FNBO.

Has anyone actually used this credit card for Ford purchase or service?

Or will you consider applying for one ?

Are the benefits useful ?

The mailer does not mention the Lightning card, but does show a Bronco card as one of 3 color options....

Same here, cash is king. The flexibility to use your points on whatever you want is so much better than being restricted to any one business unless you really go there religiously.

Says $100 credit for spending $3K in first 3 months might work (3.33%) + $200 credit to statement if spend $6K per year (3.33%).

Are FordPass points good enough without need for Visa card?

If you are using the Lightning as the example, you wont be paying anything for service for years cause of the the warranty and just the general lack of maintenance needed on EVs, and nothing for gas obviously. So that leaves you with "Ford purchases" and 1% in general. Overall not a great deal.

If Ford credit comes out with a Lightning on the card front, I"d apply.

RIght now it's boring - black, blue, and Bronco.

A hard credit pull is worth more than $100. You should be getting $350 at a minimum for a hard pull credit card offer. Even $500 is pretty obtainable for most. Some can get cards offering even twice that.

Pass on the Ford Pass Visa

Just applied since I wanted to leverage 0% rate for half a year.

Approved for $11,600.
Temporary card good for up to $5,000 immediately.

Didn't think I'd get approved since I had 3 CU pulls for the Lightning loan this past month.

They pulled from Experian. 729 FICO score, 12% utilization.

I am at a crazy 18 inquiries within 24 months (many home mortgage apps from last year)....

I opened in Feb 21. I got the $100 credit in 3 months, $200 credit for $6K in a year, and I’m halfway to my next annual $200 credit. I also have about $700 in Ford pass points. It has become my gas card and Ford service card. They had a summer offer for a $50 credit for $750 in select purchases, so I used it for that. It has a limited place in my wallet.
