Power-Up 4.2.1 - Precondition Alert failed updates

I just update my vote.
I drove back from the airport (70 miles).
I arrived home with 17 miles of range left (note: 90% SOC when I departed. Sat at airport for 2 weeks losing 0% and 2 miles range, ~150 mile round trip, mild weather), not plugged in, no special gimmicks to encourage an update.
About 10 minutes later, I got the message.
Early Dec build week.
[edit] I only had 1 needed reboot of the modem a few weeks ago. I had actual connectivity to the app. Truck connects to my home wifi.

Knocking on wood, but my FordPass has been working well since the update on March 13th. It's still a bit early to tell. This morning, FordPass wasn't refreshing the state of the truck. I did a remote start while I was in bluetooth range and it immediately updated FordPass. Just in case, someone sees the same behaviour. I am fine with this because I was getting really tired of pulling the battery/fuse every 2 days.

Let's hope this will be the last of the modem issues.

BTW, would be nice if folks updated their "VEHICLES" data as order/delivery conditions warrant, this nugget of information is very helpful (without having to ask) what people are driving when reading and diagnosing situations.

Seems to me that mostly MY2023 trucks are getting 4.2.1, are there any MY2022 receiving this update?

Good to know this, I haven't been overly concerned about this figuring it was just a remedy for the MY23 communication/modem issues. Have you noticed anything different since getting it?

When wireless android is connected and music is playing, opening the menu (like where you select your drive mode) causes the audio to stutter. Seems fine other than that.

Once a pool has started, changing the initials fields screws up the data & results, only safe option is adding more choices below the initial elements and opening up the choice restriction from single to multiple [2]

Given this fact we need to construct more thoughtful polls in the future, stratify by model year as you suggested.

Thanks for adding the MY component. It seems like when 4.1.2 was rolling out, very few posters with 2023 MY were receiving that update with the new UI. I'm a 2023 and never received it and am still on the old UI but have received 4.2.1.

Did BMS reset, pulled the fuse. Haven’t disconnect 12v yet nor driven. Is connected to home Wi-FI.

I'm guessing the button-pushing BMS reset is also the same, but I never had a chance to try it while unable to connect to truck.

Good to know. I’ll just wait out and see if it ever downloads. App says Update Successful but truck shows ready for dl.
