Front license plates options for CA - standard holder, vinyl plate, flip out, digital or none ?

No, after your dealer processes your purchase, you get an immediate temporary paper license plates while they send the registration to DMV and you wait for your plates.

When you receive them, I am asking what people would do with their plates: put them on both front and back, get alternative plate (ELP), digital, vinyl front, flip in/out, or just not have a front plate (illegal in CA)...

I have ag plates so I guess it’s considered personalized. Just saw vinyl plate on model 3, interesting option. Don’t know what a digital plate is, guess I need to go investigate.

Yes your AG plates are ELP ( personalized).

I just got mine approved by DMV:

There are a few companies that offer digital plates approved by CA DMV.
Some are monthly subscription, others are total buy out ($800).

Oh, I’ll be using Reviver. It’ll be a DV plate

How long does DMV take to get the plates sent out these days ?

I just got a call that my personalized plates are in but won't be able to pick them up until I have a permanent set.

They won't take my temporary paper plates which is lame.

Mine will be UCLA collegiate plates w/ personalized - can't wait!

2 weeks is not bad at all considering it took DMV 9 weeks to get my personalized plates delivered.

So it's almost 2 weeks for me !
