I hesitate to even give this idiot the time of day but here it is:

Let's see..drive a standard range Lightning 75mph on a day with temps in the 30s with a 15-25mph wind. You predict the result.

Also..this guy is a drama queen for the drama he creates for youtube clicks.

Ugh.

Note: Screenshots of his efficiency is 1.1 Mi/KwH so either he's doing something very wrong or there's something wrong with his particular truck. That's way lower than it should be..even in cold weather.

I've hit 1.1 mi/kWh and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. It's all about driving conditions, in a perfect storm of bad EV scenarios, 1 mi/kWh isn't unrealistic. 1.3+ mi/kWh is probably achievable even in most poor EV conditions, but let's not call something out as wrong, when I've experienced similar first hand. I have the driving log to prove it.

Edited note, I was getting over 2.0 mi/kWh consistently in good weather. If my driving style is to blame, how was I in line with the 230 mile range estimate before it got cold? Did winter make me forget how to drive?

Seems like a realistic everyday situation to me. Unless you have a pro I find this truck too expensive for what you get. I'd rather pay big bucks for a more capable gen2.

When you achieved 1.1 mi/KwH was it with temps in the 30s, 75mph+, stiff headwind?

My point was not that someone "couldn't" achieve 1.1..it was that Hoovie most likely did everything he could to ensure that result.

He claims many "people" are getting less than 50%...I call BS.

Maybe...this video is only 2 days old. He also made the "trailer disaster" video and has a tendancy to be a moronic drama queen.

I have gotten down to 0.8 while driving at 55, but that was also going uphill. Gained battery coming back down😁

F this guy……..then he goes out to get a Hummer and says GMC got everything right as water comes through the sunroof and soaks the interior not once but twice…..

Punches the Hummer and says it’s way better than the Lightning …… without doing the same “test” he did with the Lightning. 65 miles of range? Come on man….

That must be the one. He seemed like not the brightest bulb in that one.

Yes the trailer video weeks ago, but this one just came out 2 days ago.
Another biased review, ill prepared.

I'm experiencing a 20-25% hit when driving like ass, but lower on that spectrum when reasonable.

You could easily hit 1.1 @ 30 degrees going 75 with a 15mph headwind. The wind resistance at 90mph (truck + wind) is double what it is at 65.

I am consistently averaging 1.4-1.5 at 0-20F. Mix of city highway. Truck hasn’t seen any weather warmer than 50 since I bought in September, the range hit is real due to cold. Albeit exaggerated in the video.

Yesterday was my worst yet, averaged 0.6 in town. 16 inches of fresh snow in sport mode @ 20F unplowed roads.

I can’t stand this guy and all his stupid facial expressions to get his drama across. He can shove his clicks where the sun doesn’t shine.

I stopped watching his videos and told YouTube to not recommend it anymore. I don't have enough time in the day to watch that crap so I can properly complain about him.
