Hey People. I just placed the order for my truck on 6/14. And based on advice the dealer gave me I sold my current truck ( 2020 silverado 2500 LTZ gas). The new owner is taking it early next week. So ill be without a vehicle until my lighting arrives. Ford dealer told me that I should expect my new truck in 4th quarter 2022. I'm ok with that. But what I don't what to have happen is that I'm waiting all the way into 2023. I've asked for a Vin number several times but they wont give me one or tell me it's not available. They just say they are working on it.

I just need to see if the order truly is a 2022 and in that case i can plan on borrowing a vehicle.

Anyone have any idea how long it takes to get a Vin number assigned?

Settle in and take your shoes off. You're in for a bit of a wait partner. 🤠

Does it show on your account as an accepted order? Ford hasn't taken orders for MY 2023 yet, so if it's an actual order, you should get a 2022. I would be very surprised if Ford pushed any orders to MY23 given how late they are in scheduling, they know what they can make.

I would expect delivery sometime around November or December, but that's just making an educated guess.

Hi, thanks. Yes it's an accepted order. I paid my $500 and it shows on my account that the dealer accepted the order. It's been like this for about 2 weeks now. I'm stuck driving a sedan lol. Help me ford!

Do you have a build week?

No way, build roughly late September.
I think you're referring to the TRUCK, which I agree with you, but OP is asking when the VIN will come, that happens 30-60 days ahead of production and the last week or MY 22 production starts 10/3
