Hey everyone — if you were a Ford designer, what’s one thing you would add, remove, or change on the F-150, and which part of the truck would it be?

Also, we’ll be joining an upcoming flash sale event with our F-150 bed mats — I’ll share more details once it goes live in case anyone’s interested.

Full sliding rear window, find some more aerodynamics in the front/shape so efficiency isn’t like driving Minecraft car and get turning radius improved.

I'd pay more attention to drag. Having a flat front only benefits the frunk volume, but severely hinders range. Ask any owner who has pulled a high-profile traile. Add on a composite 'nose cone' to reduce drag.

The grill. Add chrome to the simulated grill pattern. Or get creative with matching paint. The back grill is like the design team gave up on finding a good design. Obviously the black grill choice was a big cost savings for Ford.

If it were perfectly flat, it would be a great DIY customization platform -- provide threaded mount points (where there are no electrical wires that might get severed) -- and the 3D printer hobbyists / fiberglas-ers could go wild. :)

Offer at least a 6.5 foot bed. That makes it at least a traditional "short bed".
Drag reduction - pickups are pretty bad in this department.
Improve responsiveness of Sync - it's pathetically slow.

I'd have it save the freakin setting for the clock! Mine won't stay in 24-hour mode. I have to set it every time I start the truck.
You can fix that with FORscan - one of the four things I changed very early on.

Lower front bed tiedowns. Who put those halfway up the wall, they're TIE DOWNS not TIE UPS and it makes hauling a bunch of 2x a real PITA!

How about "just a bit smaller". Like the physical size of an F-150 from the 90s. I don't need or want a truck the size of the current one.

You'll probably like the new mid-size. Personally, I love the full-size F150. It's the same size as the other full size trucks.

Il
MY23 with the latest update here.

The clock changes back to 24 hour setting after about 30-40 minutes of driving time. Confusingly, when I say driving time, I mean it. It doesn't change after the same amount of time idling. But it will change back after switching from Park to Drive.

I've noticed that some settings either just dont get properly saved or disable itself after a bit. And so far I've noticed it with,v:

24 hour clock
Trip Log (gives you a cookie crumbs dashed line as to where you've traveled. I love this feature but it disables itself and doesn't come back on)
Instrument cluster My View (might depend on the amount of views you have, but I noticed that Trip 2, and Power Management gets untoggled by itself without rhyme, reason or warning)
...And a few more I can't remember off the top of my head.

I'm planning to pick up a used F150 Lightning in the coming year or so, but man, if they made a Maverick Lightning, I'd jump on that. I don't need a cab the size of a Freightliner.

The new Rangers are about the same size as my '05 Silverado 1500. Pretty crazy how bloated things have gotten

Software and the cpu/gpu running them need to be considerably better.

How about a 'cab and chassis' option? either a 2 or 4 door cab with no bed -- only frame rails. Allow users to put Reading(tm) custom bed or other camper on the back.
