Short and sweet, I purchased these from Ford's Accessories website. I had my local Ford dealer install them and was told to keep the windows up for 12 hours. I ended up leaving them closed for 3 days and thats when the problems began.
The windows would shoot down at random and the wind noise was incredible. I took the dealers advice and removed the spacers that help the wind deflector stick.
Windows we unusable at that point.
Brought my truck back to the dealer and after patiently waiting almost 3 hours, i wondered back there to see them struggling with the drivers window. I made the decision to have them removed. The mechanic ended up snapping one in half while at the same time ripping the rubber trim on the bottom of the window (see picture).
Just wanted to say I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND these wind deflectors. Although they look nice, they are designed so poorly the risk of ripping this ribber alone isn't worth the headache.
Best part was since the Ford's Accessories website was down, they tried telling me I had to take care of returning the part that they broke.
Just your run of the mill dealership story I suppose.
