I took delivery of my truck on Jan 25 and left the dealership around 1pm.
It was a 3 hour process
I won't go into too much detail on the process, as it has been mentioned elsewhere, but...
Go prepared.
Have a checklist.
Make sure they credit you any deposit you made.
Items not included where: spare tire lock and frunk net. Yes, I got documentation.
I have not a clue what Sync software version I am on, but I know it isn't the latest.
I've been checking multiple times a day.
Yesterday I finally called Ford to see what was up.
Also, yesterday morning I received an email from Ford updating my status.
It went to sold.
It also shows the sale occurred on Jan 29 when I took delivery on Jan 25.
Back to my call to Ford.
After talking to someone, I was put on hold.
It took them quite some time and then came back and said they couldn't find my vehicle.
Basically, it wasn't yet showing as sold.
Later that day XM went into demo mode.
Then this morning I got an email from XM asking if I want to swap my account over from my old vehicle.
I see my dealer was slow in putting my purchase in the system (you'd think this would be a quick thing to get it off their "books").
Now that is slowly working through the Ford system...slowly.
I've stopped looking for Sync updates.
