My two recalls (park pawl, trailer module) are now cleared, within 3 days of service.
Those items (regarding the thread) cleared on mine quickly as well, what is unresolved is the lightbar inspection & fix. I suspect the technician failed to properly document the installation phase so the work order is still in limbo.

BTW, for clarity, trailer module & park pawl updates were done manually at the dealership, so no OTA versions came to my truck.

Did anyone who could not get the OTA to go through figure out how to make it complete the update?

I got out Foreskin and tried rebooting the TRM, GWM, APIM, SOBDM's to see if that would work. No dice. I have not tried a 12v pull but I think someone else said they tried that and it didn't work either.

When the update tries to go though, It does the countdown, then goes into Preparing Update for a min or two, then I hear some clicks from the truck like it's about to do something, then the APIM lights up by itself and goes to the normal radio/Home Screen. The little banner pops down from the top saying the update was interrupted. But nothing was done to the truck. It was locked and the keys were far away. I had my phone's bluetooth and wifi off too.

I don't tow and don't have any errors from this recall/update anyways so I'm not worried about it being done. Any idea how long before the OTA just gives up and times out in the system? I also don't want this update sitting there forever cock-blocking new OTAs coming in. Nor do I want to take it to the dealership or have mobile service one out and cook another 12v battery because there lazy techs don't hook up the power supply per FDRS instructions.

Thoughts?
Thanks

Try one more time after idling your truck for a couple hours to top off the 12v battery.

While the truck is on, start the install process, get the FOB & PAAK enabled devices far away and even shut down so they are not talking to the truck.

Wait for 15 to 30 minutes then check on the status of the update ... hopefully this ritual might work.

This one has me scratching my head.

This is not a major safety issue, but did rate a NHTSA mandated recall and has been unavailable for 6 months now.

How is that?

Honestly there has to be some point at which the NHTSA will intervene if a manufacturer says they're doing a recall but doesn't actually...right?

thanks Sir. Yes done all of that. I always keep the keys and PAAK well out of range.

12v battery is reporting 90+%
I pull realtime charge status from the HomeAssistant plug-in. I also regularly top off the 12v with my trickle charger. I’ve got a a fast disconnect pigtail to plug it in (connected negative to the body so the battery monitor records the amps going in).

This seems to be an issue with 22’s. I know we all have to push our tailgate release twice so I wonder if there’s something goofy going on back there module wise.

This OTA has failed for weeks and still showing on my screen as uncompleted.
I have a Clore Pro Logix PL6100 100 amp programming power supply which I hooked up to my 12v at steady 13.8v output and manually initiated the update. The update still failed even with the power supply set at the FDRS recommended 13.8v output, so I don't believe this update failure is related to low 12v battery issues. I don't want my dealer to force the update either. They would probably create new issues with my software.
I just wish the notifications about this update would clear from my dashboard.

Woke up this morning to a successfully completed update!, Except... Dash went into sleep mode overnight and when I started the truck a warning beep sounded and screen said something like, "Electrical load.... Service vehicle". Truck started anyway and the warning never returned. I suspect the LVB load was pretty high during the OTA. I have included a screenshot below of my battery monitor history showing the graph for recent events. Battery volts dipped to 12.14V several times during the update. I was not plugged in to my L2 charger yet the graph shows the onboard charger kicked in and boosted voltage to 15V a few times. Never saw that before during an OTA. update. I wonder if Ford modified the update software?

Now I have a reminder for upcoming OTA update for the 'IPM' PT-26.13.13 on my screen. (see below) Hopefully it succeeds on the first attempt.

How did you know it completed successfully?
I now show this PT update too but never saw a confirmation the trailer module completed.

I’m wondering if the trailer module timed out. And the PT update replaced it.

I had a "successful update" pop up message on my center screen first time I started my truck the next day and the "waiting update" icon at upper right screen disappeared. Now I'm just remembering that a few days before, I sent a voice message regarding the stuck update to Ford support via the "Features/Record Feedback" screen. Maybe they listened and somehow pushed it thru?

Ok I never got a successful update so I’m guessing the trailer one timed out. Now the parking module one is acting the same.

During the update the truck goes into preparing update then the APIM screen just turns on like the truck is on normally and the Home Screen sits there. It never transitions from preparing to doing the actual update. everything else is off and the truck is still locked.
I never get a failed message.

I did a 12v pull for 39 min then tried the update again. This time I did get a failure message, indicating that the process was “interrupted” but it didn’t specify what caused the interruption. I’m wondering if anyone here has access to the dealership tools to see what is listed as the interruption.

I had all keys out of the vehicle and very far away. I had Bluetooth on my phone turned off. Wi-Fi turned off. The car was in park. Parking brake on lights turned off. Door is locked.
I’ve done many updates and never had any issue with it being interrupted before so not sure what would cause that.

I guess I can try it one more time maybe the Ford pass integration in my Home Assistant is quiring it, but that typically only pulls data from the Ford cloud not the actual vehicleI guess I can try it one more time maybe the Ford pass integration in my Home Assistant is quiring it, but that typically only pulls data from the
