Key Not Detected Error

I have had multiple "Key Not Detected" errors in the past 10 days. The first occurrence was immediately after activating the climate control system from FordPass 5.0. However, since then it has occurred another 8 to 10 times without FordPass involvement. I tried the spare key fob, and the problem persisted. When I place the key fob in the emergency key fob slot, the truck recognizes the key. The truck then usually recognizes the key fob for a few times after the emergency slot start. I have replaced the CR2450 batteries in both key fobs, and lifted the 12 volt negative terminal from the battery, but the issue continues to occur. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I have had a few occasions in the past two weeks where it took sometime before the truck recognized my PAAK.

After several attempts to start the truck it finally worked. I also had to start the App before it recognized it.

Same with mine. I use PAAK and my iPhone is connected to CarPlay at the truck says no key detected while driving. Weird.

I have had random "no key" events, usually brief. I have PAAK. I have suspected that Ford ramped up requirements for PAAK, because... who knows? It used to just flash "PAAK works better when FordPass open," but now sometimes it actually requires it. I usually keep my key fob with me, but in a faraday sleeve.

It happens regularly on ours as well. We don’t have PAAK and just use the fob.
