My Lightning is a Time Machine after the accident

I have a Time Machine. The last time my app updated in 1999, not sure if Huey Lewis or Prince has my truck.
In actuality, it is in the repair shop, my wife t-boned another car last week. The hood, bumper, frunk tray plus all the air bags, we are still in a wait and see state. At least no one got hurt. It was awake on Monday at some point. Now I’m wondering if they disconnected the main battery to start looking at it closer. It was completely dead last week when I went to clean out our belonging. They had to use a jump pack to power, we were able to manually open the hood.

Bummer! with the short supply you are unlikely to get a replacement soon. Given the price of the truck they will try to bend over backwards to repair (vs total) your truck for you. Did you ask you wife if the truck tried to take any autonomous evasive action or braking?

It was one of the first snows in Minnesota, The minivan coming toward her spun out and came across the road and she couldn‘t get out of the way.

Here is what Blue looks like. The entire front clip is pushed back about 1/8" so the door bind on the fenders when you try to open the doors. Minnesota is a 75% of value total state, so $60,000 before they will total.

Wow - very sorry to see that, hoping they can take care of it, but I'm thinking that won't be good, likely totaled. Amazing that every air bag went off. Looks like they have safety covered.

curious how they'll value the truck at the time of the accident. Ford had raised prices and Im assuming you paid the original price. Will insurance value you at the current price? It is still a practically new truck, after all. What about ADMs? Are you going to have to find one in stock somewhere and say, Look that's the value right now?

If the battery pack is bad, the repairs are estimated at $73k. A battery pack is $39k. It is at the dealer being evaluated. Minnesota is 75% of MSRP state before it is automatically totaled. Have not seen any photos of the other car.

I looked it up because I was surprised a vehicle with airbag deployment would make it through and found it’s supposed to be salvage value + repair cost < 80% current value for a total loss

MSRP is technically irrelevant. The value is based on pre-collision actual cash value (ACV) - which potentially could be higher than MSRP. Being this new, I suspect that the salvage value will be relatively high, and therefore not require as much damage to meet the state threshold for totaling the vehicle. Hopefully, everyone is ok.
