My wife got a $50 off mailer coupon any accessory from a local ford dealer. It’s good until 12/31/23. I’ll use it for that.

I wonder if the accessory can be closed in the charge port, or if it needs to be placed/removed, before/after every charge?

That's a good question and given the looks my vote is for it being a bootie that you have to add/remove for each charge.

Bummer, I want something to help with the Oregon rain and periodic Ice/Snow we get in the winter. Having to store it in the truck/frunk and attach/detach it everytime might be a deal breaker.

Maybe their next gen EV can incorporate the design into the truck itself.

For me, it still doesn’t solve the issue of the whole J1772 connectors micro switch being fouled up. However this is better than nothing.

You could probably get away with using that charger door cover on the J1772 handle rather than wrapping it over the door?

I only had to break out the hair dryer twice last winter so I don’t see this as necessary. I live in northern Maine, we get plenty of weather.
