No Warm Air From My Heater This Morning, just cold air. Also, no messages or warnings.

Has anyone experienced this issue and had to have it fixed?

Thanks.
I've come up with a creative, temporary solution. I'm using a small 350w space heater plugged into my 120V accessories plug to heat the inside of the truck and to defrost the windshield. It works well.

You could use a 1200W heater too, but the low settings is probably enough unless it's really cold. The inside accessories receptacle is rated at 20A, so it can handle a 1200W space heater. It just drains the battery quicker if you are setting idle.

Also, I recommend keeping one of these in your emergency kit in your truck just in case you get stranded and your cabin heater fails. It might save you.

See the attached picture.

The first cold morning or evening recently I had the same experience.

The heat was on, the knob was turned all the way up, but the air was cool.

Looked through the dashboard screen menu and found one about causing it to be "driver focused" (or some such wording) so I pushed that icon and boom, heat started coming from the vents towards me.

Go figure.

I had been using AC before that cooler day and had it on AUTO, fwiw.

BTW, I knew my coolant was ample - I checked it the day before.

We had outside temp at 68F and Auto set for 72F and cool air kept coming thru dash vents. Looked at ventilation settings, Heat was set to on. Clicked on putting air also to floor vents (and dash), but no change. Had to turn up desired temperature to maybe 80F to start getting warm air. Put temp desired back to 72F. Will need to check again.

Yes I have noticed that as well, have to crank it up to "High" sometimes.
The ghost in the machine at work.

Ford changed my "Cabin Coolant Heater" and fixed the problem. Thank goodness it was covered under warranty. '23, XLT Lightning.

It's nice to have a heater and defroster that works. I had been using a small space heater to heat the cab and defrost the windows until Ford could order the part and schedule the repair. It worked, but was inconvenient.

The space heater is a great emergency back-up heat source.
