Northern New England DCFC thread

Any time you see a new DCFC in NH/ME/VT post it here.

I just saw that there are two Volta 50kW CCS chargers open (or about to open, they've been installed since at least May) in Tilton, NH at the Tanger outlets. Volta uses a free charging model that is paid for by advertising on the pedestal screens. They also limit your charge time to 30 minutes. 30 minutes on 50kW isn't getting you much but considering the lack of DCFC infrastructure north of Manchester this might be required to get you where you need to go.

Looks like Twin State Ford in St. Johnsbury also recently opened two 62.5kW Chargepoint chargers.

The local EA stations have been on reduced output for some sort of upgrade. I assume there must be some issue with the hardware if they’re restricting charge. If they were just replacing them with the new units there wouldn’t be a reason to restrict them.

ChargeHub.com is a good app with large database of EV charger providers you can filter, including only showing level 3 chargers and your type of charge connection. gives more realistic idea of where you need to plan trips through.

Well, if this Tesla-Ford thing happens on time then all of our northern new england charging issues will be over this time next year. Great job by Ford leading on this.
