I think the truck is smarter than your "testing".
Unless you are willing to sacrifice your truck and possibly your life, as well as the vehicle and life of the other unknowing "tester", you won't get the answer that you are looking for. That's why there are crash tests done with crash dummies.
The driver is still the main AEB and crash avoidance. The truck's system is a supplement. Stop your "testing" on unwilling participants. Driving purposefully in a manner to see if your AEB works is the ultimate in irresponsiblity. Kill or maim yourself against an inanimate object if you want, but not some unsuspecting driver or family that is in another car.
