Is there any way to pre heat the battery when I am heading to a DCFC?

In Canada, DCFC is billing by minutes (~$30/hr for Electrify Canada, or ~$20/hr for Ivy) , and the car takes about 10-15min to ramp up the charging speed.
and I think several states on East Coast are also billing by minutes.

When the battery is cold, I only see 15-30kW to start, and it cost lots of money to wait for battery to heat up.

I only see departure pre-conditioning but it requires to plugging lv2 charger and setting up schedules.

Any idea? Thanks

FWIW, Ioniq 5 added the feature recently when nav to DCFC, and it does tell the driver battery is preheating for fast charging, I don't see Ford is doing it.

If you set a DC charge in Ford's navigation, it will now start doing this at 30km from the charger. For best results, minimize / eliminate cabin heating during that short period of time.

is there any indicator of this happening?

As Rick pointed out, set your current destination as a charging station, yesterday I did this temp's were lower 30's.

When I plugged in the input rate ramped up very quickly on a 150KW dispenser, my peak was 155KW, I took on 69KW in 32 minutes a mean of ~129KW.

With it slowing to 50KW at 80%

You should be able to see the temp of the circulating coolant.

You can find the heater power pid to see if heater is on. You can monitor all the temp pids if you want. You are looking for HVB inlet temperature and engine coolant temperature (b). When those are showing similar temperature it is sending heat to the battery. If battery is really cold engine coolant will typically be around 60F while battery warms.

What engine? Or is that a motor temperature?

What engine?
An electric motor is, by definition, an engine.

Engine: A machine that converts any form of energy into mechanical energy.

This is false.
An "engine" converts CHEMICAL energy to mechanical energy.

A "motor" converts ELECTRICAL energy to mechanical energy.

gasoline= engine
electric= motor
