Farley is definitely feeling the pressure from Tesla. No direct competition just yet, but it will get interesting when the Cybertruck does arrive.

Just goes to show they can make more and adjust prices. They just don't want to. They like keeping the prices high.

Isn't every company supposed to charge what the market will bear to maximize corporate profits and shareholder returns?

As to making more, they already were ramping up 2023 production, I haven't seen anything specifying that they are making even more than the pre-announced volumes.

Hasn't the base model Mach Es always started at around $45k? I clicked through the website and prices seem similar. I definitely think that Tesla offering the Model Y with a 330 mile range for $53k is great for consumers. It doesn't seem like you can get an extended range (310 mile) Mach E for less than $58k. I think Tesla will be offering a very enticing Cybertruck at the $79,999 mark with the tax credit in play, so hopefully future Lightnings will see a good price drop in the future.

Spent a great deal of time over the weekend emailing dealers within 500 miles in search of a 2022. I have a couple promising leads but most still wanted $12k to $20k over MSRP. I found one that is asking $5k over + $1k for door edge guard (this seems over kill to me). Have 3 more that I'm waiting to hear back what the asking price is. I guess demand is still there for the moment.

It’s nice to see that the cost of the extended range battery option is dropping by almost 20%. I hope this means that battery pack manufacturing costs are finally dropping again. It’s too late for me since I already have an order but I hope to see a significant drop in battery pack cost for the F150L.

Glad to see Tesla being the leader in pricing. $60k Lightning Lariat ER here we come :ROFLMAO:

It think everyone saw the Mach-E price cut coming, I still doubt the Lightning will suffer the same fate given they have equivalent ICE trucks.

XLT $56 ($7K add ER)
Lariat $65 ($7K add ER)
Platinum $85 (er only)

Wow, this could not come at a better time!

My very delayed incoming '23 MME will now get:

$4000 price drop
$6500 PCO
$2000 Ford Options
$7500 tax credit
$2000 state rebate
$1000 Ford Pass VISA

Does this mean my MME will cost $34K net before TTL !

I can see the dealer scratching their head on this deal.

I’m a bit surprised they didn’t price the Select AWD ER under the $55K limit.

'23 Select trim is not offered with ER batteries.

'23 Selects come in either RWD or AWD w/ SR batteries.

Premium and up can order ER.

With the economy and new vehicle sales slowing, I don't expect any more price hikes on the Lightning. I also don't expect them to lower any prices until they get through all the pre-orders. But good to see that Ford dropped Mach-E pricing.
