Hey everyone,

been reading and watching a lot of YT. New to the forum.
Planning buying a new Lariat and I wondering what to ask for and also some with expectations.

are they still giving the free CC1 NACS adapter? Still doing 2000 in lieu of charger and install? Do they still offer the ford mobile charger?

I’m trying to get a realistic idea of what to ask for and also what I can bargain for.

Ford is showing some good incentives but I suspect these will ā€˜not apply to your situation because (insert reason here)’ at the dealer.

I did get a quote of $71,000 on a new platinum, but I don’t want that trim. Any thoughts about a lariat out the door? I’m thinking 65-ish?
Thanks in advance, I’m learning ! :)

The Ford Mobile Charger is not free any longer, hasn't been for a while. If it's on the windows sticker, you paid $500 or more for it. If not, you don't get it. It's not worth the price.

The adapter comes with the charger as I understand it, or it's listed separately, and paid for. In other words, if not on the window sticker, you won't get it free. Simply buy A2Z'S Typhoon Pro adapter, and their Stellar adapter for hotel charging or at homes with a Tesla charger. Use code FORDFORUM. https://a2zevshop.com/products/nacs-ccs1?ref=Typhoon&variant=43186507579592

The Ford Power Promise appears to have ended.

They still do the $2000 in lieu of a charger. It is already figured into the rebates they are advertising though.

Take the credit and buy an Emporia classic.

My mobile charger was $600 on the windows sticker on my Flash.

No adapter. I bought the A2Z mentioned above and it works great.

The "employee pricing for all" is A plan. I work for Ford so I can tell you, it isnt ground breaking. It will basically cover taxes if your state rate isnt too high.

The 0% financing is actually the best part of what they are offering.

Just an FYI, the FORDFORUM promo code doesn't seem to work anymore.

CEO is looking into it. If you use the link, and the code FLASHSALE, you get the same discount.

Mobile charger is totally worth it if you have nothing else, mine was $600 and I used it for a couple weeks waiting for the electrician to install the main charger. I took the charger with install over the 2k.

The nacs adapter came with my truck. Try to find one with 9.6kW ppob, you can use the truck to power your home with supporting hdwr.

Actually, one can find a much better charger for $600, in fact for less. If you want a mobile charger with 120 and 240, there are several good options.

I would advise against purchasing a now discontinued vehicle, especially new (regardless of manufacturer), unless it’s a vintage or highly sought after item which I don’t believe the Lightning is or will be.

The resale value on these trucks will only get worse if that’s a concern. I still have my Lightning and will be keeping it for several years, it’s paid off and I don’t drive enough to justify changing it.

if I were you I’d look at alternative manufactures who shouldn’t be cancelling their EV plans or wait for Ford’s next gen EV, it will be very difficult for Ford to walk away from a second EV platform. Avoid the coming hybrid (EREV) like the plague, buy a gas or diesel truck if you do a lot of towing or can’t handle recharging intervals.

But to each their own, if you are happy with the total cost of ownership and the fact it’s a discontinued vehicle, go for it and enjoy it.

Didn't say there weren't better alternatives, just stated a fact that it's a decent portable evse.

If everyone thought that way, there would be no vehicles to buy. Do you realize how many times a manufacturer discontinued a model? If I had more time I'd mention them all but let's go with some popular ones like the Thunderbird, discontinued it in 2007 only to bring it back in 2000. Maverick was a car back in the 70's came back as a mini truck etc ...

Discontinued means nothing.

Umm, err,... Hitting the moonshine a bit early? 🤣

And everyone knows that Maverick was a pilot, not a car or a mini truck.

Don't touch the stuff, quit drinking completely about 5 years or so ago, maybe longer. Just because someone has a different opinion does not automatically make them a drug user an alcoholic or anything else, it just makes them of a different opinion and frankly I find the assumption a bit offensive.

Take the $2k rebate if offered, better quality EVSE can be acquired for much less. Even if the install makes it the same cost, I'd still prefer Emporia or Tesla Universal over the FCSP.

The Ford mobile is useful but wildly overpriced. Again, I would forgo it and get something else.

Definitely get the ProPower option, the utility it provides is worth it.

I would ask them to verify it can DCFC. Seen a few reports of new purchases that couldn't, so wouldn't hurt to ask them to verify.
