Anyone get anything good with the FordPass rewards? I was going to get floor mats but I’ll probably buy those on my own since I really only want the rear mat. The points equal about $110. Dealership already said it’s not good for in-store aftermarket stuff. It has to be “parts/ford accessories”

Any ideas?

I'm hoping I can use mine for a little of my truck's down payment. Ford's website says you can.. we'll see if the dealer agrees when the time comes. The conversation is like 200 points to 1 dollar.

Points are worth .5 cents each, yes.

Yes, you can buy a new car and use your points. It's not up to the dealer.

So why wouldn't you use it to buy the rear mat?

Points expire in a year from the last activity. So, if you buy the rear mat, the clock starts on that day for the rest of the points. If you get to a year and haven't used them, go in and buy a $1 fastener, and the clock starts again.

I was thinking about putting them towards the roll up tonneau because Ford has the $200 sale going. I haven’t checked to see if i can get the discount and use the points. If my truck comes before the discount ends i’ll check with my dealer.

You can’t buy the rear mat by itself.
$185 is too much for the whole set. I was told the lightning doesn’t have weathertech available yet. Maybe that one is available as a solo rear mat. I dunno.

For sure. I’m buying the rear mat by itself directly from weathertech. Now I’m just curious what to burn the points on. Otherwise I’ll end up with and overpriced net and gate lock from the dealer.
The points can be used at any dealer that accepts them for parts.

Some dealers have online parts stores that sell parts for less.

If you can get a dealer that accepts points in their online store, you'd win.

On a Mach-E of mine - I used my points to pay for labor for when I got a hitch installed. Worked great.. I provided the hitch and cost me 0 for labor.

Just wanted to mention, I’ve spoken at length to my dealer about ford pass rewards and I work with the owner of the dealership. In its current version , Ford Corporate just pays the dealer the money and dealers no longer contribute to this program so it’s a win for you and a win for the dealer if you buy an accessory through the parts department that you wouldn’t have bought without using the points . The program has no dealer downsides .
