Remote start climate key fob?

My other truck, a 2013 F150 XLT has oem remote start on the key fob as well as had it on the Ford app before ATT discontinued their 3g service it ran on. Is there a fob that works with our trucks to remote start? Ford pass is giving me trouble today for some reason, so I wanted an alternative if it's possible.

I installed this on my 23 Pro, when I had it, and can confirm it works just as described. Install was relatively easy as well. I decided to not add it when I got my XLT ER as the FordPass app had become significantly more reliable and didn't have a distance restriction. I can't confirm compatibility for any other year than a 22/23.

Thanks but this truck is brand new, I'm not messing with any wiring. Was hoping for a fob only solution, if not oh well.

You can use it with one of the fobs that has the remote start. There was a forum post about it. I'll see if I bookmarked it. Downside is that you lose the frunk opener.

Thanks but this truck is brand new, I'm not messing with any wiring. Was hoping for a fob only solution, if not oh well.

As I recall, there is a harness that sits inbetween 2 connectors behind the glovebox. I didn't have to void any warranties or hack up the truck.

I considered that, that is a solution, but wanted to use the factory FOB I had and wanted to keep Frunk access.

Bingo! I don't mind losing the frunk open for climate on, I still have the habit of hitting the unlock key walking towards the truck so I can just press the button under the edge to open it when I get there. Thanks for the link.

Yes, you can get a fob that has the remote start button and it will work, I picked this one up and it works https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D16X1NRT just make sure you get the correct frequency for your truck, they had at least one mid-year change on the 2024 models and the first fob I ordered was the wrong frequency so it didn't work.
