RetraxPRO XR Installed On F-150 Lightning

Just installed our RetraxPRO XR on our Lightning. Installation was very straight forward. Fits great!

how much space does it take up toward the front of the bed?

It does take up a bit of room. But since I don't transport a LOT Of stuff that's fine for me. If I was a contractor I would use a different cover. Bu for me, it'll work great. I like how solid it is. I don't like the canister BUT they are necessary. I also like that it has the T-Slots so I can use accessories from Thule and Yakima

Oh and Q number 2- did you drill through the spray on liner into the drain ports or did you buy separate drain covers? Saw some folks doing that, buying a factory drain covering just so they don't have to mess with the fully coated one.

drilled the hole - it’s just a drain capnot sure why anybody would buy a second one

I really want one of these for for my current 21 150 but I keep putting it off because I don't feel like having to take it off (and putting it on the lightning later). Maybe I should just do it anyway.. can't be that hard to do right? How long did your install take?

I mean... you can go measure your bed lol. It's basically the same as your bed rails

Good point. Ford says the bed is 21.4 inches or something close to that. I was hoping it raised it by an inch, I have a 22 inch cooler.
