I think the Lightning motors are more powerful, maybe built by the same powertrain group and 'similar-design', I hope a trickle of production is still possible to feed repair consumption for the 10 year support period.

Just got a call from Ford about 5 min. ago and updated the title and parent thread. Rear electric motor is shot, metal shavings came out of it. EV tech said he's never seen it before. They said it will be about a week and half before I will possibly get the truck back

We've seen a few reports of motor failure on the forum, it is pretty rare though.

Curious to know what went wrong with the motor, was it bearings, differential gears, oil pump, parking pawl, etc.......
