Just got my truck back for battery repair. Not even a week later, pulling out of the driveway and it starts pouring water out of the sunroof controls. @Ford Motor Company

What is going on?

On a 2 year old truck? How terrible is this design. Is there a diy?
Google for hundreds of videos / posts. Same sunroof and issue in hundreds of thousands of F-150s.

Never. Opened it today to see what’s going on. Everything is clean, no dust anywhere. Clogged drain is nonsense.
Most of the owners that have water leaks from the moonroof never open them. You won’t be able to see a clogged drain line. Here ia a video that might help.

Before this truck, my prior suv was 15 years old, had a sunroof that never got used either. Had many cars, never seen this before. It makes no sense. Especially on something this new.

I’m not watching that shit. It makes zero sense on a two year old truck. There’s no dust of any kind around seals or drains.
Suit yourself. You asked what was going on, got the answer, and don't like it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Brand new trucks have disconnected drain tubes and tubes get clogged by tree droppings.

Warranty covers the issue.

You’re right. That’s fair. I just got it back from repairs. I guess it’s going back to the shop

Same issue of clogged drains happens with convertibles. My Boxster is prone to this issue. I purchased a trombone cleaner brush which does the trick of clearing blockages, and you get to answer the question "why do you have a trombone cleaner?"

This has happened to me as well but only when the rain is super heavy and the truck leans towards the front of the cab.

The lines might need to be cleaned but with heavy rain this weekend they might have overflowed?

When I go thru the car wash you can see the amount of water slushing thru the lines and gaps in the roof it's meant to do this Where you driving at the time when this happened? If the sun roof area overflowed by too much water then it has no where to go except out by the sun roof controls which is the lowest point in the line.

I have seen others post on here adding a rubber seal around the gaps but I also suspect that will prevent the roof from opening which I personally don't want I like having it open occasionally.
