With 580 hp this truck could easily do 150+ mph but I don't think Ford wants anyone going that fast in their workhorse truck. I'm assuming the F150L has a speed limiter, but I don't seem to be able to find what the limited maximum speed is. I'm not interested in maxing out the speed in in my F150L but I am curious and Texas does have some of the highest speed limits in the country.

Does anyone know the maximum speed rating for the all-electric F150L is?

I've read that the Mach-E maxes at 113. Truck wouldn't be much higher would be my guess.

Something you need to consider is that even if you removed the software limiters, you are going to be RPM limited well before then due to the 1 speed gearbox. My guess would be somewhere between 110 and 125, but we don't know the full specs to figure that out. Software limit will be below that.

It would be fun to test it at the "Texas Mile" land speed test run!!

For your funny non-answer:

It all depends on how high the airplane is that you drop the truck out of. A few hundred mph should be no problem from flight level 25 or 30.

I can confirm that it does top out at 113 MPH from experience.

wait

I mean

hypothetically, yeah, that's it.
Get a GT - they can go up to 123 - just take a while to get there.

Well,,, there is this one stretch of super-two highway between Amarillo, TX and Raton, NM that is long and straight and sometimes gets long lines of cars backed up behind slower vehicles. I have hit over 120 mph on a Kawasaki Concours passing that line of cars. You can easily reach max speed on a speed limited vehicle trying to pass that line.

My electric street bike is electronically governed at 125. I can't imagine the truck setting the limit much higher than that. It makes running the quarter mile at impressive ETs difficult.

I think I saw a Jim Farley post where he hit 99 mph in a Lightning on the Ford test track. Apparently Ford as a 100 MPH speed limit for that track.

Must have been a while back.. I believe that section of highway is now a divided highway. I wonder if it’s a blue cruise available road now.

If that were the case TX would be the absolutely wrong state to be showcasing it this week!
You aren’t speeding anywhere in SA as far as I can remember :ROFLMAO:

The ICE is limited also, I suspect the EV limit is lower than ICE, hence the 90 mph, but let’s just say 90-100 mph
