What the frunk? Lightning front trunk dimensions / measurements and configurations - photos

Some of you have been asking for specfics as it relates to the *FRUNK*. I’m attaching some photos with additional measurements (perhaps these are available online?) It appears an item measuring 33”w x 22”d x 13”t would fit with space to spare.

For reference in the pics, I’m using a 27-gallon tote sourced from a local Costco. While I got the frunk to close with it turned perpendicularly, I don’t recommend it.

We’re talking 5/8” max for the dome of the hood.

Right??! We have the Yeti roller cooler that never made it into our Model 3. I was hoping it’d fit in the trunk, but it’ll have to stay out back…

You could make an aluminum foil pyramid and place it on top of your Tote box and close the hood.

Measure the height of the crushed aluminum object and add it to the height of your Tote. Maybe subtract 0.5- 0.75 for safety margin?

Never mind, you posted the latest pictures with the tape measure of the hood recess. It's stepped in the center, but the cooler would be larger that that area.
