Would this be a warranty item worth fixing?

I know this stitching should be straight. How much of the dash needs to come apart to fix this? Trying to see if it’s worth mentioning at my 20k service.

Not for me. If they would consider fixing it it will require replacing the upper dash board. Not likely they would ever get it back together to suit.

If you don’t tell no one will ever see that as an issue.

This is the main thing keeping me from having them tear mine apart to see what the heck is sliding back and forth. Only hear it on a sharp turn or when having to brake quickly. Devil you know is sometimes better than the one you don't.

It's definitely in the dash. Seen others report similar noises and ended up being a stray bolt or nut. Have something else sliding around in the bottom or my front passenger door that you can hear shift if you move the door real fast. May look into that one on my own if I get motivated enough. Guess they were losing stuff or forgetting Loctite that day.

I used a couple paper clips to hold the tray still, it was driving me nuts on a winding road

Did you notice the dust on the IR emitter cover?

I had my moonroof window seal replaced under warranty. The tech had to dig into the grab handle cover to get at the roof and made a nick in the grab handle cover. I'm still staring at the nicked grab handle cover.

Repairs are not always risk free to a nice interior. Evidence of the work was left behind in my case and makes me notice the imperfection.
