XLT orders will open again soon (March 2023 Wave 8)

Double check with some of your fellow Canadians on the forum to confirm that there is an online portal via WWW.FORD.CA similar to how we in the USA order via WWW.FORD.COM

You should be able to log in, look at your reservation, when chosen to place an order, the button to do so will appear with your reservation.

Possibly your dealership is trying to get you to commit to a reservation to order inside the dealership, this process was intended to help folks concerned about using the self service ordering system.

When I ordered last year (in Ontario), I never received a link to order online, it was all through the dealer via e-mail.

As far as I'm aware there are no emails from Ford (other than the dealer) and no on-line order system in Canada. I got the call from my dealer and everything was done via email/telephone. I didn't visit the dealer but it was also still Covid times. They took my deposit over the phone as well. Eventually my order showed in my Ford.ca account where I could previously see the reservation. No markups at my dealer.

Tim just read a Ford memo on his livestream that Ford will open XLT ordering for wave 8 that should launch any day now. He said the memo said March 2nd but of course that didn't happen. Will likely go fast.

I finally received my build date of April 24 for an XLT extended range, Azure grey metallic. We shall see....

Update: Tim talked to Brand Manager and the wave has been delayed due to the battery issue. Ford hopes to open orders by end of March. Still expecting XLT to be offered but will be limited. Suggest you check every afternoon if you want the XLT.

Hell, my 7 y/o might be 16 and able to drive before my reservation can convert to an order.

According to Ford press releases they had 100K reservations on June 10th and 150K on Sep 16th.

I wonder if there are any 1st or 2nd day reservations (May 19-20,2021) that still have not got an invite?

Unfortunately, your reservation isn't set to a specific trim.

Ford did say that everyone should get an invite to order by the end of summer. I wish you luck in trying to secure an XLT, they will be limited.

Day one (first hour) here and still no invite. Decided to buy a demo over MSRP but still holding on to see if I can be the last day one to get an invite.
