I retrieved my truck from the dealer today with the number seven battery module replaced. It’s operating well. The service advisor had contacted Ford and advises me that I should keep a battery tender on the 12 V next time I store it. So I guess that’s our answer.
I will try to shed light on your queries.....
The truck saw a low temp of 20 degrees outside during the winter. Pretty close to that inside the un-insulated garage.
It was revived April 5, daytime temp reached 66F, low was 47, average 56 at my home weather station.
It is now much later and I wish to add to this thread for prosperity.
The Ford manual says to disconnect the 12v which I have done each year. The HV battery is left at 50% SOC and so far has been good until this year. I have multiple errors and warnings now on reconnecting the 12v which is a...
Update while I wait for the appointment. I obtained an OBDlink dongle and downloaded Forscan. I do not have any DTC codes but when I looked specifically at the BECM module my HEWARCHAR, the variation in state of charge between battery modules, is 9.26%. I am told the tolerance upper end is...
I do have serious issues but didnt know FoMoCo did therapy? 🤪. Dealer appointment next Thursday. I have to travel 70 miles to the dealer so Im glad I have 160 miles of battery range.
No. 57% power
update: I had the 12v battery tested. Ut tested good. Put it back in the lightning. Measured 12.7v before connecting, 12.2 after connecting, truck and displays off. Checked and no change to the status: max charge went back to 50% by itself. Turned it on, adjusted max charge to...
Good question. No updates succeeded since 12v . I tried to enable them, even 'update now' did not work, when I returned hours later no luck. I was hoping that maybe an update would fix it.
My 2023 Lariat has 25K miles and had been flawless. We stored it as we have before during the winter in our garage. Per the manual I set the charge limit to 50% and charged it, disconnected the 12v battery and put it on a tender. On opening storage I reattached the 12v and noted that the frunk...
I had no noticeable damage from my 5 month storage at the recommended 36psi on the OEM Hankooks. Of course I have just disposed of those pieces of garbage at 19K due to outside and inside edge wear and a too severe to repair blow out. Hopefully the Falken Wildpeaks I bought will do as well...
As several have said you will see the small percentage that have major problems report them here and elsewhere.
Me? 12K on my ‘23 Lariat ER and no problems. If I did, Ford offers roadside assistance. My other truck is a 2018 F150 I keep to go to Baja in. Its about to undergo a major...
