Follow-up: new tail light installed - replacement light now has a connector pin I’m assuming for direct trailer connection? Also - this is a PnP light - dealer wanted over $200 to remove two screws and swap out.

Whatever the promo not worth the hassle you go through to cancel when the subscription is up.
