  1. 20,000 Mile Charging Tests

For anyone curious, I recently posted thermal testing: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/f150-lightning-thermal-envelope-testing-optimize-your-dcfc.38711/
  2. 20,000 Mile Charging Tests

These sessions appear to be representative for warm-weather charging with no meaningful derate on the vehicle side (no derate at all on the charger side). The blips are the vehicle overreacting to power modules being removed from the session as they are no longer needed.
  3. F150 Lightning Thermal Envelope Testing - Optimize your DCFC

Try to start with a fully charged (and cool) battery each morning when possible, run in sport mode, tow/haul mode or use preconditioning via Connected Nav and keep your adapter as cool as possible. Use IONNA / Mercedes chargers when available too.
  4. F150 Lightning Thermal Envelope Testing - Optimize your DCFC

The console gauge will stay in the middle from about 15C-35C and is completely useless to actually gauge your battery temp. I have monitored the cooling behaviors for thousands of road trip miles.
  5. SYNC-26.2.8.3 SW Update 12 - Center Touchscreen [EAP]

Generally once information is generally available it is no longer under NDA
  6. F150 Lightning Thermal Envelope Testing - Optimize your DCFC

I've been working on data-logging DC fast charges on my Ford F-150 Lightning and trying to keep conditions as scientific as possible. Everybody assumes slow charging means a hot battery, but in many cases the battery isn't even the first thing that throttles you. When using NACS with an...
  7. Out with HIS, in with GenerLink

Would be great if they just sold the tiny "Ford Vehicle Connector" separately - would be great to have an "official" option to recommend people to use with a generator inlet and interlock vs having to make your own and leave the ground disconnected (even though that's almost certainly what the...
  8. 2026 - Upgraded DC Charging Performance, Experience?

Here's the data and I confirmed this change with Ford. Ford confirmation (I also confirmed in more detail with other contacts off the record):
  9. Comma AI self driver assistant

Is anyone working to improve this? Shouldn't driver monitoring get more lenient as the ADAS improves instead of more strict?
  10. After 2 years it finally happened. Bricked/Ran out of juice in rush hour traffic with wife & dogs onboard

I will note that the latest PT OTAs seem to have changed the powertrain control as the battery drains
