As others have said. Bump it a few inches up and it’ll close the rest of the way. Also if you are getting back in the truck you can hit the tail gait button (next to the auto lights dial) and it will close on its own.
Just had this start happening. There was a weird screeching sound through Sirius and now my passenger headrest speaker is making distorted sounds. Clearly something weird happened which caused the speaker to blow. Fun times.

I just went back through the app and it isn’t there anymore. Ford must have updated the app and removed the info. Before even receiving my truck I was able to review my payload and play with trailer weight calculations within the app. Looks like it’s been dropped. Sorry for the misinformation.
