I contacted dealer who told me I was 35 out of their 25 allocation for ‘234 so no expectation of this year, no reason to check or monitor website. Fully expect Ford and Dealer to contact me when time to place an order.
Did not get an email from Ford or dealer about ordering. Did not get a...
Not exactly. Reservation has no real order to it. It depends on where you are on your dealers allocation list. The dealers are allowed to assign to Preferred Customers. My canceled reset now goes to a dealer Preferred customer and can be marked up.
Think you misunderstand. The preferred allocation is not related to reservations at all. Dealer gets trucks to sell as it sees fit. The issue that upset many with reservations was it allowed people with no reservation to jump the line.
Actually answered it several times. Called and Chatted per the email from Ford. Nothing in spam folder which is done automatically by Google. I haven’t put Ford on a spam list and asking Ford to not send marketing emails is completely different issue. Ford can send emails. No reason to...
Current production numbers seem to prove that wrong especially at the 75,000 level. Ford at 200,000 level maybe but Rivian is building second plant in GA for that. ‘23 looks like a good bet based on current Rivian production and deliveries. Goes to ‘24 I’m fine.
No. Ford dealers get a "preferred customer" allocation of F150 Lightnings, a percent of their total allocation which is not connected to a reservation. It was this line jumping that was subject to a lot of dicussion here (and why I made the Rivian reservation).
That and the entire dealer's...
Dealer contacted me, or more correctly, replied to my email inquiry. Stated 35/25, 2023 delivery. I'm not going to be checking my Ford account for a delivery next year. It is totally on Ford and dealer to contact customer. Especially when taking a reservation a year ahead.
Got the...
Never got it which Ford pretty much admits with the "Look in your spam folder" even though their cancellation notice was not in the spam folder.
And no phone call from Ford (which only deals over the phone) or the dealer.
Puleeze.
I would definitely have ordered it. See what the final price...
Nope. Ford was clear that dealer could sell to "preferred customers" who did not have reservations and gave a certain percentage of the allocation to allow the dealer to do this.
My reservation was one of their allocation that no long has a reservation attached...yee hah...markup sale to...
Called the 800 number as Ford instructed via "Chat" on website and in the email cancelation. Ford said "Nothing can be done".
Amusing how dealers are typically very aggresive in calling, emailing, texting if they even THINK you are interested in buying. Here's a paid, first day reservation of...
So "adamantly anti-Lightning" I was a day one depositor and contacted dealer to see where I was on their list.
Follow the money, neither dealer nor Ford contacted me so they can resell to preferred for markup.
Sometimes the simplest explanations and the correct explanations.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
When Dealer tells you we'll contact you in 2023, up to the dealer who Ford has designated as the contact point to let the customer know. Car dealers do not seem shy about using the phone.
Ford doesn't list an email for reservation questions, just a phone...
Which is why it is such a game changer. Though it does give those in that demographic who are concerned about the environment but are constrained by their social set not to say that an excuse to be proactive on the environment.
