They've been great for me! No tears, worn spots, etc. I think they actually look more OEM now as the covers have relaxed to better contour the seats.
We are an active family; they've been puked on, slobbered on, spilled on, and food crumbs everywhere. They clean up nice. I do have to...
Nope. I have it hard wired via the fuse panel behind the passenger kick panel using fuse splitters. Easy peasy, just use the right fuses. One that stays on and one that goes on/off with ignition. I believe it's also listed in the Nexar instructions. I've not had any issues at all with it.
I've been an EV owner for seven years and have had varied cars/homes in that time so I've learned a few things.
1. Owning an EV makes the most sense if you can purchase it for a similar price as an ICE equivalent. If it's 10k more then you won't make this up in savings most likely.
2. Home...
You need a Car AI box to plug in to the USB c under the display. I've tested a few and this is the one that works almost perfectly.

Carlinkit. Just be sure to get the one with 8gb of ram
I also have a '24 Flash and have the exact issue as the OP. I have tried the items suggested and 90% of the time departure time/cabin prep just does not work. It's a little frustrating on the colder mornings.
Does anyone have any other ideas to try? I've done the location resets, default...
I installed this in my truck for this exact reason. Has built in cellular and GPS and notifies you on your phone if someone hits your car. Essentially does what Tesla and Rivian does while we wait to see if Ford can add this feature.

Added these RC Power Steps to my Lightning. What an awesome addition! Did it by myself without problems. Took five hours of work, mostly because I hadn't installed these before and the instructions were not entirely setup for a lightning, so I took my time.
These are my first power steps and...
Another thing you might consider is do you need all of your items to be powered at the same time. When boondock camping I shut off the AC for a few minutes while I make my coffee then turn it back on.
If you overload it, the circuit trips and you reset it on the truck. It should run right up to the 2.4k before doing so. The largest draw for me was the AC with the startup surge needed. With the soft start it never tripped on my 15k BTU AC but every model is different on energy draw as well as...
I have the Flash with the 2.4kw inverter. I had the same concerns as you because we trailer camp A LOT and I want to be able to boondock and not rely on shore power.
I took a chance and while I did have to install a soft start on my rooftop 15k BTU AC on my camper, it starts and runs just fine...
Thank you for the detailed instructions and review. About to order these so my elderly father can get into my truck easier. Couple questions...
Do the boards lower quite a bit more than the factory boards that came with the truck?
Do you know about how many inches off the ground the step is...
I agree, I'd enjoy seeing a thread where the models with and without a heat pump have a graph showing efficiency on the y axis and temperature on the x axis in similar driving conditions would be neat to see. Perhaps even a different tab for common speeds. 45mph and 70 mph.
It would take folks...
Finally! Some conversation on the '24 models with the heat pump. Hoping some of the pros do some video comparisons this winter in apples to apples scenarios.
I have a 2024 Flash trim, and I live in Southeast Florida. It's been chilly but not cold - not sure my data will be as important. I will...
