I told you it was crazy talk. lol. It's not an affordability issue, and to get anything from my local electric utility as far as a rebate, you need to be below the poverty line. Getting another quote on the install on Monday. My breaker panel is in the basement and the electrician has to...
I'm looking at about a $2500 bill for my level 2 home charger install. That includes the charger and the required permit. I've had my truck for three weeks and have been using the mobile charger plugged into a 110 outlet. It's slow of course. I only drive about 35 miles a day so it is working...
I was thinking the same thing, about it not holding well if not fully open or closed. And if I did use it like that it would be for short trips like bringing home a tall shrub. As far as watertightness, I haven't checked it out after a big rain. I've only had the truck going on my third week.
Sorry, my bad. I went to your site and looked at the manual. It's working fine. I just wasn't pressing the latch hard enough for it to engage. The manual said to use two thumbs and it's right. The fully open or close position just need a light push.
Thanks for the reply

My used 2025 Lightning came with a Ford branded sliding tonneau cover and I am not sure if I am using it correctly. For mine I can only lock it with it either fully open or fully closed. I saw videos with what I though was the same cover and it appeared they could lock it anywhere between fully...
Count me lucky that I do have a spare tire. I'll check the junkyards this weekend. I've read(maybe on this site) that our current visors are HomeLink ready and it's just a matter of a bit of surgery to take one from an old visor and 'frankestein' it to mine. Or I just use my old Genie remote...
As a new owner of a used 2025 Lightning Platinum, I still cannot believe that Ford pulled the HomeLink feature in 2024. I guess that Ford was bleeding money and needed to remove features in an attempt to keep the Lightning alive. But it's ridiculous that a Lightning with a sticker price of $91K...
Randy, I was actually looking for an Antimatter, and was hesitant on getting this color. But so happy that I did. I still think the Antimatter Blue is great, but this Rapid Red with the Dark Element package is killer. I still can't believe it's mine. So now that I am in the 'club', is there a...
The rotary dial is an interesting take. I watched a few videos on the upgrade. The 'cheapest feeling' of the whole truck is the factory gear shifter. It really feels flimsy and disconnected. I am definitely going to look into all the other things you mentioned. I'm also looking into a clear...
I can go out at lunch and get you some better pics of the Dark Elements package. Essentially from what I can tell the package has black wheels, blacked out emblems, and the seats are totally black.
After searching for the right Lightning, and after getting some good advice from you all, the Rapid Red Lightning Platinum is mine!! Excited and a bit overwhelmed in all its features, and really only touched on the ones that got me home. I did some preliminary searches but came up dry. Is there...
Well, I decided to pay for an Autocheck report on this truck and this is what I got. You all saw the pic of the 'damage', but in the report you can see that it was classified as 'severe' and 'structural damage'. And if you look you can see the damage occurred while in the possession of the...
Well, I pulled the trigger and put in a credit app and deposit on the truck, picking it up the week of the 20th. Didn't have much luck negotiation the price down, but I feel it's still a great price on such a low mileage truck. Now just need to figure out the charging logistics at my house...
Sorry, forgot to mention it is a Ford dealer. And being a bit paranoid, as I have been looking for about four weeks for a truck. I've lost a couple deals already. Nothing local to me in Michigan with a sunroof. This truck will require me flying out to get it and driving it home. Was originally...
