I got my stuff updated on 17 March so its been about a week. I have always had the 1.7.1 fail info until today.

I believe the date on the sync screen is the date the maps expire and we should get a map update prior to that. The last date was a march date I think and a map update went out starting in February.

Definitely a good catch. It would have taken a phone call and/or emails and probably many wasted days. I did try a clean install also which didn't work. The SSD is another great idea. I have one in the newer computer of course. The wifi card I think was another issue with my older computer...

I had thought about running a cat 6 cable all the way to my garage through my house to make sure I had enough speed on the download. May want to keep that in mind if the newer computer doesn't work.

Make sure that your Wifi is strong also. I had to use the 2.4ghz signal since it was a stronger signal in my garage.

The best advice is get a newer laptop as you mentioned you plan to do. I had this happen with my older laptop for the IPC and GWM and the best I could figure in my case was the newer faster laptop with a better wifi card in it was my issue. In fact, I don't recommend anyone doing updating...

This is a known quirk of the APIM. It will cycle between three values. But it isnt corruption.

I believe when you select download you are just getting an installer and the real download comes when you run it. So I would say no real benefit. Also, is the charger that you are using capable of Power Supply mode. If so I would use it. The best luck Ive had I kept my volts at least 12.8 up...

The activation pending is online in my ford account under connected services. Nothing on FordPass or in email.

I am still in the activation pending club. I have used BC this morning and this afternoon. Worked both times flawlessly. Not sure why I’m still pending but it works so for now oh well.
