  1. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

I also invested in two devices, IIRC, that other forum members suggested in previous posts, both of which are available on Amazon: sonar distance sensors and heavy rubber curb stops. I have a little more room to spare, about 8 to 10 inches, but I try to allow 2 to 3 inches for my rear bumper...
  2. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

If you have just inches to spare in your garage to fit the truck in, it's A FEATURE and not a comfort...
  3. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

All this bit about 1PD giving you more regen.... I bet most of youse guys blow that regen out the window when you floor it to get onto the freeway, etc., .... 😁
  4. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

The basic reason I don't use 1PD is that its braking is too sensitive to the amount of reduced pressure on the accelerator. Using the brake pedal, you get much more incremental control in braking, plus the ability to better incrementally creep forward in 2PD by just lifting your foot off the...
  5. Tesla Supercharger station availability now appearing in Google Maps + Apple Maps

A Better Route Planner. It doesn't show the number of free stalls, just the total number, IIRC. But the info on surroundings is terrific.
  6. ECG2-25.2.8.5 UPDATE

Hmm. I wonder if the truck will pay more attention to the Home Integration System when the truck has to be aroused from deep sleep to transfer power during a grid outage?
  7. Ford considers ending F-150 Lightning

Yeah, I'd say quite a few Ford dealers don't like EVs. Less business for their service departments, and they don't like online orders->direct to the customer taking them out of the loop in sales, the ability to upsell you, etc. So, if Ford wants its EVs to take off, it needs to figure out a...
  8. Ford Cars & Coffee at Electrify Expo Dallas Nov 15, 2025

Some forum members attending, please ask the Ford folks what's going on with patching up the Home Integration System so it works reliably and automatically in a power outage. I'd drive from San Antonio to Dallas just to do it myself, but my wife will be recovering from her second cataract...
  9. 20% tint too dark?

Checked my 5/29/23 invoice and it says 90% VLT on the windshield, and on the side rear and rear windows (They came already factory-tinted to 25% VLT). 50% VLT on the front side windows and 70% VLT on the moonroof, again because it was already factory-tinted. Adding the film to already...
  10. 20% tint too dark?

See the post I quoted above for 3M Ceramic and 3M Crystalline Total Solar Energy Rejection and Infrared Energy Rejection figures. I used different grades of tint on various windows and the moonroof, and I don't notice much difference in appearance from inside or outside the vehicle. Maybe I've...
  11. What is your truck's nickname?

You and Don Quixote, eh? I should have named my Home Integration System that...!
  12. Phone as Key (PAAK) mostly failing after iOS app update

If I ever have any hiccup with PAAK unlocking my vehicle, I find that switching from the Vehicle tab to the Energy tab and back (with maybe an app refresh thrown in) ~always works. Even though I have a strong Wi-Fi LAN signal in my garage, I've found that being on cellular data helps, too.
  13. What is your truck's nickname?

Well, if I were going to give my truck a nickname, I'd call it the "Ford HIS-fit misfit...." Still waiting for Ford to fix the truck-Home Integration System communication two and a half years after I got the truck.
  14. Safety Program: 25S18 aka 25V131: HV Battery Electrode Misalignment Discussion

As to whether the charge port is part of the high-voltage system, that reminds me of a warranty problem I had with a Nissan Stanza in the 1980s. Driving down the streets of Columbia, MO, at 20 to 30 mph, it blew a head gasket. No problema, I thought. We have an extended warranty that covers...
  15. October Forum Survey Results

Sorry that I misunderstood you. Since you mentioned the population size in both sentences in your original post, quoted below, I thought you were invoking that as a factor in computing the relative survey error. (Perhaps you mean "if n=100" in what I've quoted above?) Statistics is a fun...
