  1. Moisture in the tail lightbar

So glad to hear it went well. I also didn't want to have my truck bought back, but the situation created the need to do so and from it I felt the outcome was very fair. I'm hoping to get another Lightning soon. I just ordered one spec'd the way I'd like it and it's being built in a few weeks...

  4. Water in rear light bar

I wrote a letter to Ford (look for earlier post in this thread) and they offered to buy mine back.

  6. Tailgate light leaking after recall

Was customer service from the Ford factory or the dealership? Did you try my demand letter? They've gotten back to me end we're on a path forward.
  7. Tailgate light leaking after recall

The challenge is, when it breaks again and warranty status. We shouldn't have to be liable for repeated repairs for the same issue when happening by multitudes of people. I sent my letter via mail and also via text on their Facebook profile. I got a response this morning and a case number...
  8. Water in rear light bar

Hi everyone, I'm in the midst of filing to NHTSA and also writing to Ford. I think with so many of these cases, I've had 3 instances myself and about to come off warranty and don't want to go through the ordeal again. I'm hoping with enough pressure, we can push for another recall, Ford...

  10. Water in rear light bar

Glad you caught it. Did you wash the truck recently? Wondering if high pressure water was the culprit, not that it should matter.
  11. Water in rear light bar

Go Pack go! Hopefully we can leverage the internet and collective experiences to know the true situation. Maybe the answer is we need a new tailgate?
  12. Water in rear light bar

I just got mine done for the 3rd time, what do we do? The dealer says this is a recurring issue and Ford doesn't have a solution. Happens every year. Seems to be when I go to the snow and get my car washed or if it rains. I don't want to have to pay out of pocket next time when I'm out of...
  13. OTA Update Help

Congrats on getting it to work! I guess we'll just keep having to do all the different combos to get it to work.
  14. OTA Update Help

So for clarity, did you try to run the update while it was actively charging? For me, the difference with it updating or not was that it was in actively charging the vehicle while the update was going on. Just in case that helps.
  15. OTA Update Help

Did you try to have it update while your EV is charging? After many attempts of getting it to update doing the other items, that was the one trick that worked. I was charging mine in the garage while it auto updated during the scheduled time during the evening.
