Can you provide more information about your problem? Are you asking how to use FDRS? How to update via OTA? This whole thread is about how you update your APIM and other modules to enable BC.

I always start with the GWM since that is the gateway to the rest of the modules. I just went down the list from there. But keep track of what you do as sometimes you update a module and it does not get reflected immediately in FDRS. Good luck!

Looking at my APIM in FDRS, is it corrupted somehow?

The only Forscan change I have ever made was the running board activation one to the DSM. And even before that, I was not seeing any updates. That one change is something I know Platinum Peasant has done, and I see he has updated.

Are the APIM updates just showing up for people? I have not been able to get any updates since this past weekend. I have the GSM update that is stuck, but no other updates. I do not have any DTCs either, so not sure why I no updates are shown as available.

Just to be clear, the configuration in FDRS, below -- IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Configuration. I ran that successfully and that cleared the DTC. The self-test confirmed everything was good. I did not use Forscan to clear the DTC in my IPC.

Just FYI, I did not have to PMI it to remove the DTC. I just reconfigured the IPC (I think the option below PMI) and that went successfully when before it would not. Once I successfully "configured" the IPC, I ran the self-test to confirm everything was good and got green.

No, the updates are tied to the VIN of the vehicle and the VIN is included in the update information on the drive. So your car will examine the data on your USB drive and not update anything because the data does not include your car's VIN.

So my running boards have not been working since updating the DSM. I followed the suggestion from Platinum Peasant and looked at the running board entry in the DSM using Forscan, and saw that it was disabled -- 00. I redid the entry to 01, saved it, and voila, my running boards started working...

Thanks. I ordered the adapter from Amazon and should arrive Wednesday. Hopefully I will have working running boards then. Will read through the tutorial and watch some videos, but it looks pretty straightforward.

Congrats! I have not used Forscan. Do I need the OBDLink from the tutorial or will the Mongoose work?
