I'm retired from the lab and I'm blissfully unaware of any problems with the cells. The best I can figure out is these are still CATL cells, which have been solid in previous testing I did, but the tabs were horrendous on one specific cell I tested...layered thin strips of aluminum that did not...
Didn't we have a guy in here with over 12 years testing L-ion cells to include cells from the Lightning? Might want to search for his previous posts. :wink:
To reply to post #12 and #13, the actual Vmax for the cells is 4.15 V, plus/minus 0.05 V, but the BMS will not allow you to get there.
