Seems like a somewhat common problem, however just wanted to see if anyone has anything else for me to check before I take it to the dealer to (most likely) sit for a bit.
Wife was driving the truck yesterday, got out for ~2 hours, got in and powered up. Immediately met with the above error...
I took the price protection policy (blue colored document) plus the following two things with me when it had been >45 days. Maybe it’ll help someone!
Alright, check received/deposited as of today. 58 total days from purchase. Still was a bit of a headache. They “didn’t know where to look or how to see that the money had been re-invoiced/deposited.” After they “finally could see it” was a breeze.
No changes for me today, supposed to go up in the morning to meet with some managers etc to discuss this. Though they signed an owe sheet for $5k at time of sale, for price protection, they now act like they have no idea what or how to deal with this. Have provided them every piece of...
Ran by the dealer this past Thursday, took my “we owe”/copy of the price protection policy/memo about the pro price change. Told my salesman it had been over 45 days since purchase and I was here to collect (I told him I would be getting back with him 45 days from now to get this handled, when...
Just to keep it all in one thread, those that are waiting on a potential check from the dealer, what day did you take delivery of your truck? Mine was 11/29.
Add me as another waiting for a check. I’m right around the 45 day mark from purchase. Will be swinging by the dealer this week to check on this. Attempted to speak with my salesman but he doesn’t know a thing about this (nor did he during the buying process).
I was concerned this was going to be my experience when I picked mine up. They tried to play games and gave me the invoice as it was delivered, less the 7k was applied from the “private offer,” or “coupon” as my sales manager referred to it. They told me there was a price increase. I told them...
My dealer was giving me bs about needing to be re-invoiced by Ford because he “didn’t know how much ford was gonna price protect.” But yet he wrote a “we owe” sheet up for “$5,000 check from Ford.” Just doesn’t make sense how they couldn’t honor it.
Will add I wish I would have saved this video to show the sales manager when I was going through the motions. Explains it’s supposed to be given and the dealer pockets the check, dunno what the disconnect is.
went in there with all of those, plus printouts of my order, plus printouts of the little notes about dealer selling price, msrp, etc from my online order summary, and still couldn’t get em to budge.
I hope your experience gets better, and turns out better than mine did, really wasn’t bad...
She’s home! Some back and forth was required at the dealership, however the 7000k private offer was given right up front. Sales manager pulled the smartvincent no further issues with that.
The price protection was a whole other story. The sales manager “needed to be re-invoiced by ford to...
