  1. My first 100k miles

The regenerative braking is the main source of braking, so I’d be really surprised if there was very much pad wear at all.
  2. My first 100k miles

I just pulled a bunch of PIDs. At 100% (reported) the actual SoC was listed around 96%. Energy to Empty at 100% was 131 kWh. I'm guessing this battery system is over-engineered as Ford is terrified of warranty work on them. Super pleased with everything. I'll report in again at 200k.
  3. My first 100k miles

I haven’t tracked entire lifetime, but 2.0 is about right. I believe the bigger wheels (and possible extra cooling loop) on the platinum is what drags it down.
  4. My first 100k miles

i havent checked, but none of my 10k inspections have mentioned it. Is be surprised if there was much wear. I drive pretty conservatively typically.
  5. My first 100k miles

I don't keep track of it super closely, but I'm pretty sure it derates a bit towards the top. I know it does quite often even in the middle of a charge due to temperature. I know it takes about 2 hrs to go from 80%-100%.
  6. My first 100k miles

    None.
  7. My first 100k miles

I'm no @Helium , but I'm close. Just crossed 100k last week on my '23 Platinum. Battery SOH (I know it's a made-up number) reported by both FDRS and pulling the PID is 99%. I haven't seen any noticeable range reduction, so I believe it. To answer the usual questions. 1) I am always plugged...
  8. First time using ABRP, some issues

ABRP is best when used just as a planning tool for long road trips. If it chooses routes that I know are suboptimal, I'll use guidepoints to force it down the road I want. I've found its model for temp/windspeed/elevation change to be pretty darn accurate for the truck. I don't have the dongle...
  9. In the event of a battery fire, what is the fastest, easiest way to drag the truck out of the garage?

One last thing from me as a firefighter who has had to extinguish several ICE fires. (BTW, I always comment how these gascars seem to always catch fire). If there is a full tank of gas, and it ruptures (as it usually does), we basically have to wait until it all burns off before we can truly...
  10. In the event of a battery fire, what is the fastest, easiest way to drag the truck out of the garage?

Firefighter here. First off, ^^^^^^, this. Second, GET OUT! DO NOT GO BACK IN. Even with firefighting gear, we would never risk a human life to do this. Third, garages up to code have a burn-through time. Usually on the order of 20 mins to 1 hr. We can often save the rest of the house if...
  11. Tinting on Grill Pealing Away

Mine hasn't peeled, but got small, circular chips from about mile 500 (I have 90k, now). It's obviously a terrible coating for a grill, and it's a shame that Ford won't make this right with a CSP. I'd rather have the non-platinum grill to this. My local line-x shop wouldn't even look at it for...
  12. "Weight Limit" Alert with a double chime

Almost certain that it occurs when the truck thinks you're towing and the road in its database has some kind of weight limit. Given the glitchyness of ford software. This happens sometimes when you aren't towing.
  13. Lightning caught fire in Canada

Two things. I've bookmarked this for when people mention EV fires: And secondly, I'm a (small, rural, but with 15 miles of interstate highway) firefighter and I've put out many ICE car fires and have yet to see an EV fire. (Every time I remark how these gas car always catch on fire...no one...
  14. Flaking on Lightning Front Grille

My platinum has had small chips (probably averaging around 2mm) from about mile 500, but nothing like this. I now have almost 90k miles so I'm well out of warranty. I would really like to see a CSP to replace these grills. After all, platinum was a nearly $100k vehicle. I expected a much higher...
