Does ACC not turn off when you tap the brakes? I thought this was how it worked on my Fusion, but I haven't done much driving in my Lightning, so maybe they changed it?
Yeah I get how hydraulic brakes works, just thought it was odd because I've never experienced the issue with the two ICE F-150s I've owned previously, or any other vehicle for that matter and I've been driving for awhile.
I figured with regenerative braking there may be a way for "issues" to...
Lightning did those few cars a solid though, saved them $7.00 for a car wash!
On a serious note, I wonder if they experienced what I have a few times. I've had two separate instances where I've stepped on the brake and the truck did not slow down as expected, it stuttered almost like ABS...
Which is why I wanted to bring it to the attention of the op.
Yeah I've seen the video a few times. That's exactly the reason why I posted it, so the op wouldn't end up in the same situation as the poor man in the video.
I'm with you on the seats, would be really nice of @Ford Motor Company to offer a trade in program. I'd be willing to pay the $300 plus labor to have them swapped.
As soon as I read disconnect and aluminum, first thing I thought of was Tom's video. "Dangerous Disconnect: Tesla Home Charging Problem Analyzed And Corrected"
I always just thought this was a Ford thing, my 2017 Ford Fusion was the same way. Center console vents were stronger than the ones closer to the doors.
I don't think it's necessarily backwards. Tom points out that you have to push in the bottom tab in his State of Charge review of the Lectron, time stamp is 13:28. Still a pretty concerning issue though.
Thanks for that note. I was able to find the article on SwRI's public site. Is the report available for public release? I work in cyber security for a not-for-profit and was wondering if you'd be able to send me the report if I pm you my work email?
Yeah their link to infrastructure was a little flimsy and that's why I was saying it was a bit sensationalized. I was thinking the same thing when they were talking about power surges. If a car is fully charged or can't handle a higher rate, I'm not sure if that's something the charger can...
I don't think they can? I don't recall the numbers off hand but basically from what I recall reading on the forums, the max current of the onboard charger combined with the battery voltage won't let the battery charge over a certain wattage.
Other vendors have achieved faster charge rates by...
I got the warning as well, but was in a bit of a hurry so I didn't have any time to look at it. Also it didn't seem like there was any other option other than to acknowledge it? I checked for updates and of course there were none, so I'm not really sure what it was complaining about if there's...
