I'm order 9188 with a May estimated ship date. So far, no sign of a shippment.
  2. Preconditioning for very short trips

It was a while back, but probably around freezing.
  3. Preconditioning for very short trips

Holy crap! I didn't realize how much power was used for pre-conditioning. I just looked at my sense energy monitor and it pulled around 9kw for almost an hour this morning! That's almost as much as I use to recharge from my 25 mile daily commute. Thanks OP for this thread alerting me to this.
  4. Notice From Ford: Battery Replacement Needed

I just got the call and email as well. I took delivery at the end of July.
  5. My first test towing a 31' camper with Extended Range Lightning Lariat

It felt better towing with my Lightning than it did with my 2018 F150 that also had a crew cab and short box. On the highway, I felt much less swaying when going by tractor-trailers. I'm still amazed at how I can merge on the highway or accelerate from a stop light while towing as quickly as...
  6. My first test towing a 31' camper with Extended Range Lightning Lariat

This past weekend, we took the camper out for real on a short trip to camp in family's backyard in Mass. The trip there was 72 miles and we drove about half of it on highways and half off highway going trough New England towns (Slow, many stop lights). I was wondering if we could make it there...
  7. My first test towing a 31' camper with Extended Range Lightning Lariat

Update on the GFCI issue: Looks like New Hampshire adopted the NEC2020 code but with a few amendments where the GFCI requirements are not expanded beyond 120V 20A. https://www.nh.gov/safety/boardsandcommissions/bldgcode/nhstatebldgcode.html Swapping my breakers for non-GFCI ones solved my...
  8. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

Great to see that the Tewksbury EA can be trailer friendly! It will probably come in handy when I head south to go camping.
  9. Portable EVSE Amps over 110v/120v

Thanks for this info. I can confirm that the truck didn't ask for more than 11 amps from my OpenEVSE set to advertise 24 amps when plugged into a 120V 30A circuit. This should be updatable via software if Ford decided so right?
  10. Best EVSE for Travel

Did the truck pull the full 24 amps? I tried this using an OpenEVSE which powered up fine on 120V and let me select 24 amps. When I plugged in the truck, it didn't ask for more then about 10 amps. I tried when the SOC was probably around 80% and thought it was just limited by the higher SOC but...
  11. Slight clunk shifting between power and regen at low speed with one pedal

Yes, I've noticed similar noises which seem to come from the front end from time to time. Reminds me a bit of a u-joint going bad. I don't have an answer yet but I'm thinking of taking it in to the dealer for a check up. I'm at 2500 miles so far.
  12. Charging Lightning while powering an RV trailer

Yes I tested this at home while charging off of my 14-50 outlet and powering the camper from the bed using a 30 amp adapter. I ran the camper's AC for a while without a problem.
  13. Could It Be The First Lightning On Mt. Washington (NH)?

OK, so when I finally get around to getting up there, I might still be one of the first 10?
  14. My first test towing a 31' camper with Extended Range Lightning Lariat

In this case, we're talking about charging the Lightning from a GFCI protected outlet. I think I did see potential issues mentioned in other threads with using the Lighting to power your house without using the home integration kit. Something regarding the neutral and bonding, but that's beyond...
  15. My first test towing a 31' camper with Extended Range Lightning Lariat

I had noticed your avatar and figured you probably visited my neck of the woods. I used to roadrace in Loudon and some of my buddies would go to the drag strip to practice their launches. Let me know when you'll be there again, I might go check out the action.
