Have you placed the VIN in CARMAX, CARVANA, and GIVE ME THE VIN? I was able to sell my truck for a great price that way (6k over trade in). Not sure what they would offer but worth a try.

Did you change rims as well? What is the offset? You not only got taler, you got 2 inches wider. Probably not the height that is causing the rub, it may be the additional width.

All I can say is a WDH/SB is a lifesaver at highway speeds. I refuse to pull without one and I have been pulling a long time for work. Any and every trailer I pull with any type of weight to it has one. A huge improvement in ride and a much more secure feeling when braking.
