  1. Mice in frunk

I’m glad some folks on this thread have had success with Cridder Ridder and peppermint oil, etc. But none of that stuff worked with my truck. I had peppermint oil and Cridder Ridder freshly placed in the frunk, 12v battery compartment, bed, wheel wells, etc. Guess squirrels thought it was just...
  2. Mice in frunk

……and opinions are like assholes, everybody has one! 😄
  3. Mice in frunk

    😆
  4. Mice in frunk

My insurance (comprehensive) covered cost (minus deductible) of 4 HVB wiring harnesses and 3 LVB wiring harnesses after a family of squirrels moved into my truck. I had left it parked outside our cabin in rural area for 3 weeks.
  5. The dreaded "STOP SAFELY NOW" message and the cause...

I went through something similar in December 2025. In my case a family of squirrels had moved in over a three week period when the truck was parked near our cabin. Each HVB wiring harness (4) and 3 LV wiring harnesses had been chewed on. 9 weeks later I got the truck back. Insurance covered the...
  6. 2025 Lariat Tire Recommendations?

After 10K service (tire rotation, etc) I complained to SA that the front right tire vibrated badly above 50 mph. Asked to have all 4 tires rebalanced. SA called me and said one of the tires could not be balanced - some sort of defect in the tire. The dealer replaced the one bad tire. I was OK...
  7. If you run the battery to 0% SOC - lessons learned, the cliff notes version

Thank you for taking the time to write this out. I’m very lucky to have an SA that knows Lightnings and she has been immensely helpful especially when squirrels ate into the HVB wiring harnesses. Your “Cliff Notes” version mirrors some of the things I had to do to get my truck ready for...
  8. Loud whirring sound, drivers side: AC Compr Fixed #20

I’ve sometimes noticed a “whirring” sound when I turn on the a/c. I turn it off and then back on and the noise is gone. And the a/c works/has worked fine.
  9. BlueCruise Free Extended additional year?

BlueCruise expired on the 9th. I rarely used it. But it still engages (?). So far no reduced offer from Ford.
  10. Have a 12v fridge you like?

I have the Bouge RV 30qt cooler and the Yeti Roadie 32.m. Bouge cooler plugs into frunk outlet and works like a champ. Yeti is usually strapped in the bed and keeps things nice and cool as well, using freezer packs. The combo works great for us.
  11. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

The Trump administration significantly reduced IRS staffing. Reports indicate that over 25,000 employees were cut through early 2026 as part of efforts to downsize the civil service, with some units seeing cuts of 25% to 35%. The cuts heavily targeted enforcement and service divisions, including...
  12. Resolved#24 - can’t shift it into neutral to get towed, Service AdvanceTrac, 1-Pedal Drive Fault

I had been using Cridder Ridder and concentrated mint oil around/under the frunk, both battery compartments and the charging port area. The squirrel team decided none of that mattered. 😣. I know friends whose ICE vehicles have had similar damage when left unattended. So I’m not going to leave...
  13. Resolved#24 - can’t shift it into neutral to get towed, Service AdvanceTrac, 1-Pedal Drive Fault

In my case the truck was parked for 2 weeks in a semi rural area. A family of squirrels had moved in and chewed through the HVB and LVB wiring harnesses. The dealer hs hd it for 2 months because of waiting on the HVB harnesses. The good news is that insurance covered the cost minus my deductible.
  14. Resolved#24 - can’t shift it into neutral to get towed, Service AdvanceTrac, 1-Pedal Drive Fault

Had to have mine hauled away on a flat bed truck, recently. Squirrels had chewed through the HVB wiring harnesses. Driver attached the winch cable to the front tow hooks. Then he tilted the bed and got it under the front tires, which were free wheeling, and got them off the ground. Then he...
  15. Share Your Pipeline to F-150 Lightning. G'on. It's Thanksgiving...

During a 25-year military career I owned more cars than I can almost count; sports cars, high end exotics, plain-jane sedans and station wagons, trucks, etc. as I neared retirement from my second career I decided to make the leap - considered Tesla and Mach E, but then decided on a whim to look...
